Writers from Carlow University’s Madwomen in the Attic program were inspired by the Murals’ themes of justice, labor, immigration, and motherhood. Their Fall course, “These Walls Can Talk,” was a collaboration with the Society to Preserve the Millvale Murals of Maxo Vanka and Anthropology of Motherhood. Special thanks to Veronica Corpuz, Fran Flaherty, and the writers in the class who collaboratively wrote and designed this image. Limited edition prints made by Artist Image Resource (AIR).
